imiconnect v5.6.1 release brings in multiple new features and enhancements to make your platform experience more secure and richer. Here’s a list of the key updates:

Added – Ability to provide examples of possible data while creating new WhatsApp Templates

We’ve added the ability to specify sample values for dynamic content within a WhatsApp template when registering a new WhatsApp template from within ‘Tools->Templates’ section. This allows WhatsApp to better understand your messaging use case during the template review and approval process. Make sure these are examples and do not include any confidential or personal information. You can refer docs once the release is done for more info on how this feature can be used.

Added – Automated retries in case of API call failures for out of box (i.e., pre-built) integration nodes

With this release, we are introducing automated retries for out of box integration nodes (such as Salesforce, Zendesk, Webex Contact Center, and more) for connection timeout failures and 5xx HTTP errors. This enhancement will avoid the need to add the retry logic for connection time out failure/error and 5xx standard HTTP error node edges when using these out of box integration nodes.

Added – Google Dialog Flow integration node / connector (Beta Launch)

We’ve added a new integration node with this release to allow you to integrate imiconnect with your Google Dialog Flow bots. This is supported via the ‘Detect Intent’ method that utilizes an already configured Dialog Flow bot in your Google account to process a natural language query and return structured, actionable data as a result.

Added – imiassist integration nodes

We have added a few integration nodes for imiassist to enable appointment scheduling, customer contact creation/update/delete and reports generation in imiassist. Please get in touch with your account manager if you would like to utilize this node.

SDK Updates

We’re releasing following SDKs as part of imiconnect v5.5.3 release:

• Android SDK v2.15.1
• iOS SDK v2.15.2
• Cordova SDK v2.3.2

Here’s a list of changes we have made since the last update.

• We’ve updated our Android SDKs to support compatibility with Android 12. You will need to use imiconnect Android SDK v2.15.1 onwards to leverage Android 12 features.
• iOS SDK has been updated to make some minor enhancements and fixes. Also, we have done compatibility assessment for iOS 15 and do support it.
• We’ve updated Android and Cordova SDKs to use Firebase messaging library v22.0.0.
• Additionally, we have upgraded Android and Cordova SDKs to use Huawei Mobile Services v5.3.0.

Important Additional Notes

• As announced in the last release we’re deprecating some of the previously supported integrations such as NICE inContact. These changes will take effect starting this release. Please refer documentation for more information on the latest integrations.
