Product Update - March 2019

We are excited to introduce the new iteration of IMIconnect. It's been close to 3 years since we released the first version of IMIconnect and have since added numerous new features, reporting improvements and support for new channels such as WhatsApp, Apple Business Chat and RCS. Based on the feedback from our customers and partners, we believe this release will help enterprises build and deploy customer journeys faster in a multi-channel environment.

New Interface

We have an all new interface that has been built ground up based on our learnings over the past few years.

The UI is designed to reduce cognitive load on the users with updated information architecture, contextual tooltips and placeholders. The entire frontend is built on AngularJS and is much more slicker, faster and responsive.

Single Page Reporting

The new UI makes it faster to view reports for an entity such as a service or a number or an app and switch to a different entity instantly.

Each of the reports can now be exported as a PNG, PDF, SVG or XLS files.

Improved Flows

Flow builder is the core component of IMIconnect that enables our users to build customer journeys faster. A lot of work has gone into making flows easier and more intuitive along with all new canvas with improved design.

Flow Templates

Flow templates let you start off with a flow that already opens up with a basic set of configurations which can be built upon or modified to suit your use-case.

Flow Templates

SMS Survey
Is triggered off a Inbound Webhook that contains the MSISDN of the customer and sends a series of questions to the customer and waits for customer responses.

Chatbot
Is triggered off an Incoming SMS message and that sends an immediate response to the customer and can branch out based on customer response.

Auto-responder
Sends an acknowledgement message to the customer as a response to an Incoming SMS through the Send node.

Appointment Reminders
Is triggered off a Inbound Webhook and sets up an appointment with the customer by integrating with an appointment management system through the HTTP node.

WhatsApp for Business

WhatsApp Business API is available on IMIconnect now as a beta feature. WhatsApp Business API enables businesses to connect with over 1.5 billion users in a simple, reliable, and private way across 180 countries worldwide.

WhatsApp Business API

As a WhatsApp Business solution provider, the IMIconnect platform will enable enterprises to seamlessly integrate the WhatsApp Business solution into their customer communications strategies, and drive engagement through intelligent and context-aware messaging.

WhatsApp integration includes addition of WhatsApp as a channel in the Messaging API and a new WhatsApp Send Node in the flows.

Service Changes

Services now have an all new and much more simplified dashboard. Custom Events and Inbound Webhooks (Custom Event v2) are now consolidated under integrations. These events and webhooks can now be created as a part of the flow itself and will be saved under integrations once created for further management.

Updated Service Dashboard

Templates are also moved from service to a tenant level and are available under the tools section. This means that a template once created can be used across any service.

Existing events and templates

All existing custom events, inbound webhooks and templates will continue to work with no further actions required

In addition to the above changes, service dashboard now also has a Postman collection of all IMIconnect APIs available for download.

Updates to Outbound Webhooks

We have simplified the way the Outbound Webhooks are created and centralised them under integrations section of the product.

They can be used to forward the following to your application -

  • Delivery receipts for the outbound messages you send
  • Incoming messages from customers
  • Incoming events from customers on OTT channels such as location changes etc.

Debug Logs & Decryption

New errors have been added to debug logs in-cases where only an error code was displayed earlier.

Decryption doesn't require a password anymore. Any user with decryption permission will be able to instantly decrypt logs.

Only the owner of a tenant can assign/remove decryption permission from a user

Ticketing Updates

The platform now has a simplified ticketing interface. Any tickets raised through the UI will be responded through via email according to agreed SLAs
