Configure RCS Agent
This guide outlines the steps to create and configure a new Rich Communication Services (RCS) agent to facilitate interactive messaging with your customers.
Prerequisites
Before you begin the configuration process, ensure you have the following requirements met:
- Brand Information: Valid, correct, and legal information regarding your brand.
- Logo Image: An image file in PNG or JPG format (224x224 px, max 50KB).
- Banner Image: An image file in PNG or JPG format (1440x448 px, max 200KB).
- Testing Device: A mobile device that supports RCS messaging for verification purposes.
Configuration steps
Follow these steps to create your RCS agent:
- Navigate to the Apps dashboard.
- Click the Configure new app dropdown menu and select RCS.
- In Application details tab, customize the appearance and contact information for your business and provide the details:
- For the details, refer to the table for RCS onboarding guidelines and fill the required sections (rows until Test Numbers provide details for sections for Application).
- Once you have given the relevant details click Submit and the Application will be moved to Set up in progress status. After the support team approves it you can move to submit Launch Questionnaire. After the application is approved, you can set Launch Questionnaire.
- Click Launch Questionnaire. This defines how users will interact with your agent. Provide the details for the questionnaire:
- Refer to the table for RCS onboarding guidelines and fill the required sections (follow the rows after Test Numbers to provide details for launch questionnaire).
- Click Next to set up add the mobile carriers that will support your RCS agent.
- Click Add carriers.
- Click Submit.
After adding the necessary carriers, finalize the submission. You will receive a confirmation that your RCS App has been successfully submitted for processing.
