Authentication using 2FA
Learn procedures to achieve Auth+ (Authentication+) compliant.
The Campaign Registry (TCR) has introduced a new brand identity verification process for Public Profit entities. The primary objective of Authentication+ is to help prevent brand impersonation, which can lead to consumer fraud that includes disinformation, smishing, and spoofing. Webex Connect will be aligning to the new Authentication+ process of TCR.
Note
All publicly traded companies must begin using the additional 2FA process (Authentication+) starting October 17, 2024 to be Auth+ compliant, and existing brands must achieve Auth+ compliance by October 30, 2025.
Note:
Self-serve campaign creation is currently disabled on the 10DLC module of Webex Connect. To create new campaigns, please reach out to the Support Team after your brand achieves Authentication+ compliant. Follow the procedures below to achieve Auth+ compliant.

What should I do to be Auth+ compliant?
For most legacy brands, the initial status is Non-compliant. Brand owners edit the brand, add a valid business email, and submit it for verification to make it Auth+ compliant. This process follows industry standards for business verification, like those on platforms like Google My Business and Facebook Business Manager. For more information, please refer to the Making the Existing Brands Authentication+ Compliant section.
What should I do to renew my Auth+ if the renewal is pending or expired?
If Auth+ status is nearing expiry or already expired, brand owners will see a ‘Renew Auth+’ option for periodic re-verification to maintain up-to-date records. For more information, please refer to the Renewing the Authentication+ for your Brands section.
Do I get an alert if the Brand Auth+ is about to expire or has expires?
If Auth+ status is nearing expiry or already expired, brand owners and tenant owners will receive and an email from the Webex Connect platform with the guidance on the next steps.

During the verification process, if the brand owner doesn’t receive the email, there’s an option to resend the two-factor authentication (2FA) email. For more information, please refer to the Resending the Authentication+ Email section.
What should I do, when my email verification fails?
If verification fails, a support ticket is automatically generated and sent to our PSG team, who will proactively reach out to resolve the issue.
What are the guidelines for adding the Business email address?
Please refer to the following guidelines for adding the Business email addresses:
- Please add a valid email matching the brand or organizations' domain during brand registration.
 - Ensure that the email is not a group or alias email such as [email protected], [email protected]. The correct input would be a brand representative's email ID representing the brand.

This change is currently applicable to only Public Traded Entity Types and will be rolled out for other Entity Types in the future.
TCR will refund the cost incurred in reverting existing Public Profit brands with a 'VERIFIED' or 'VETTED_VERIFIED' identity status that choose to go through Authentication+ verification.
